Reverse osmosis is a process in which water molecules are forced through a semipermeable membrane of 0.0001 micron by water pressure. Thin Film Composite (TFC) – sheets are rolled up around a hollow central tube in a spiral pattern after being sandwiched together. The dimensions of these tubes are determined by the volume of water they need to handle.
The reverse osmosis purification process is primarily designed to reduce the salt content in water.
The life of pre-filters varies based on type and usage conditions:
For Water Purifiers:
Sediment & Carbon Pre-Filters –Typically require replacement every 3-6 months
Heavy Usage/Hard Water Areas – May need more frequent changes
